Spinal Pain Management

The care described on Dr. Arbeitman's web site is performed in accordance with the guidelines of the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA). Currently, very few NUCCA and Advanced Orthogonal upper cervical specialists exist in the USA or worldwide. Therefore, many patients (from other states and/or countries) choose to travel to the closest NUCCA and Advanced Orthogonal practitioner.

Dr. Arbeitman sympathizes with each individual's struggle to attain quality upper cervical care since it is not readily available. However, please be advised that because the NUCCA and Advanced Orthogonal procedure is extensive, it is impossible for Dr. Arbeitman to advise an individual's local chiropractor on how to perform the procedure and/or any of the diagnostics involved.

Each individual`s care plan is specifically designed for his or her case and is determined at the initial evaluation appointment. Pediatric cases typically require less care than adults.

As a goal and a guide, patients who travel for care should make arrangements to be seen multiple times over 2 to 3 months so that once the initial correction is made, stability can be achieved. For the best results, the above parameters should be planned for.

On average, an individual should plan to travel to New Jersey initially for approximately 2 to 3 months, depending upon his/her case, and should plan to return to New Jersey multiple times during the following 3 to 6 months if necessary. For patients traveling from other countries, a longer stay is recommended to ensure the proper stabilization of a patient's case prior to his/her return home. Again, the care plan and response time vary per person depending upon several factors: the severity of his/her condition, lifestyle factors, the length of time the condition has been present and the age of the patient. If you are able to comply with the time and financial issues involved with traveling to New Jersey for care, please email Dr. Arbeitman to discuss arrangements for your specific case. In your email, please include a detailed description of your health history (any history of trauma to the head/neck, your symptoms, previous tests, treatments diagnosis dates, etc.) and possible travel dates. Dr. Arbeitman will do his best to make the arrangements smooth and effective. Additional information on housing and directions, along with links to area information, will be provided for you.
